Tournament Results for 2017 Amateur
USGA Women’s State Team Championship
The Club at Las Campanas, Sante Fe, NM
September 26-28, 2017
Congratulations to the Delaware contingent of Phoebe Brinker, Jennifer Cleary and Esther Park who placed second, Delaware’s best finish ever, at the final USGA Women’s State Team Championship. These tough ladies ground it out through some challenging conditions, finishing one stroke behind the winning team from Tennessee. In addition to the team’s second place finish, Phoebe finished second for the individual title, two shots behind two-time U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur champion Julia Potter from Indiana. It was an impressive showing by our ladies — they were the youngest team in the field with a combined age of 47. Delaware’s prior best finish was 32nd in the inaugural championship in 1995.
We couldn’t be more proud of how these ladies competed. Click here for photos from the championship.

Thirty-one teams competed in this year’s Solheim Cup. While Mother Nature forced us to reschedule the event, she also provided us with a solar eclipse on the rescheduled date. Congratulations to Diane Braver and Debbie Ronemus, the overall gross winners, and Peggy Babiarz and Betty Anne Corr, the overall net winners. A list of the flight winners can be found here.

Bash to the Beach
April 24, 2017
With temperatures hovering in the low 50s, intermittent rain and beach wind, the ladies participating in this year’s Bash to the Beach showed how determined they were to finish 18 holes at Kings Creek on Monday, April 24. Given the weather forecast for Tuesday, the decision was made to cancel the second day, much to the relief of the hardy souls playing on Monday. Congratulations to Sandy Scitti and Colleen Hacker (overall low gross winners) and Celeste Beaupre and Terry High (overall low net winners). A list of the flight and specialty contest winners can be found here.
